About Stage Door Dance
Whether your child dances for fun or with professional intent, Stage Door is your neighborhood studio that will inspire and celebrate your child’s natural drive and spirit.
Camouflaged in whimsical fun is quality technique. Stage Door is an ideal dance studio for students from age 18 months – teen. We offer tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and performance groups.
Our teachers are committed to your child’s development and measurable progress. We also provide several seasonal – specialty performance opportunities as well as our main recital event in June.

Our Teachers
Patti Weinberg
Patti Weinberg, was born in the Los Angeles area in 1970 where she began a rich and fulfilling career in the world of dance. First dancing at the age of 5, she trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Spanish, Hawaiian, and acrobatics at Annette’s School of Dance.
Miss Andrea loves teaching at Stage Door Dance and is happy to be teaching for such an amazing studio. She started dancing when she was 8 and fell in love with it. She danced for 10 years throughout high school at Ramona High, was president of Dance Productions, and danced on The RHS Varsity Song Team. She continued her training at University of California, Irvine and received her bachelors in Dance. Andrea started her career in dance at the Disneyland Resort where she performed in the “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade,” ” A Christmas Fantasy,” and the night parade “Paint the Night.” She continued performing at Knotts Berry Farm in multiple show including the their Can Can Show and the “Boysenberry Jamboree” and in a dinner show called “Teatro Martini” at Pirates Dinner Adventure. Then she found a love for musicals. You can find her in shows in Regional Theaters right here in San Diego. Her previous credits includes “The Producers,” “Victor/Victoria,” “Crazy For You,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Mamma Mia,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Sweet Charity,” “Cabaret” and “West Side Story”. She is so grateful to help the students at Stage Door grow and share her love for dance.
Miss Nikki Szudlo began her dance career when she was 3 years old and never looked back! She danced competitively with Studio 19 Dance Company in a large variety of dance styles including hip-hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and musical theater for 15 years at the regional and national level. After graduating high school, Miss Nikki accepted a dance teaching position at her home studio where she taught for 5 years. During her undergraduate work, she competed and performed with the Nazareth College Dance Team, earned her minor in dance under the teaching of Heather Roffe and trained and performed with Mayhem Dance and the Nazareth College Dance Ensemble. Currently, in addition to dance instructing, Miss Nikki is a second grade teacher with her Masters in Education.
Dana is a native San Diegan who returned after studying dance, performance and teaching, and raising her family in Utah and the Chicago, Illinois areas. She has been teaching ballet at all levels in the North County area and principally at Stage Door since 1993. She also teaches Flamenco.
Miss Lisette grew up training with a variety of professional studios such as American Ballet Theatre, School of American Ballet, Finis Jung, David Howard and Alvin Ailey in New York City. Miss Lisette has been teaching for over 30 years in San Diego County including teaching Outreach Programs for City Ballet of San Diego and San Diego Civic Youth Ballet. She is also a PBT certified instructor! Miss Lisette teaches ages 2.5 through adult, and looks forward to seeing your dancer in class. Her motto is “Reach for the moon and you’ll be amongst the stars.”

Ms. Daniela grew up dancing at Stage Door Dance since the age of 4 and has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and lyrical. While in high school, she competed on a local competition team where she was a part of multiple award-winning numbers.
Ms Clara is a San Diego born and raised performing arts lover and producer. Beginning at the age of two, Ms Clara started her dance training in North County SD, and continued her training to a pre-professional level in Ballet/Pointe, Tap, Lyrical and Modern, Jazz, and Musical Theater. She has training in Vaganova, French, and Balanchine ballet methods, Progressing Ballet Technique education, and intensives and classes through ABT and San Diego City Ballet. She expanded her theatrical training in her teen years going on to be a lead dancer and assistant-choreographer for shows such as Chicago, Mama Mia, and The Pajama Game, many of which received numerous awards, including Best Musical, from the Broadway San Diego Awards. She has continued from on-stage work toward backstage work in the theater, holding the title of Stage Manager for San Diego Repertory Theater and La Jolla Music Society, and Production Manager for numerous dance companies throughout North County. Ms Clara has a wide range of education through all areas of performing arts, and is incredibly grateful to work with her many talented students, and ignite a lifelong passion for the arts within them.
Ms. Summer didn’t grow up dancing in a formal dance studio setting but was instead introduced to dance through an activity called colorguard. The training that Ms. Summer received through her middle and high school’s colorguard program in Hernando, MS was very dance heavy, focusing mainly on Jazz, some Ballet, and some Contemporary. Throughout the five years Ms. Summer participated in colorguard, her passion for dance only continued to grow and her senior year is when she decided to attend the University f Memphis in Tennessee and pursue dance as a career choice. Her time at the UofM dance program exposed her to many dance forms including but not limited to Hip Hop, Lester Horton Modern Technique, Brain Dance Teaching, and Creative Aging. Now with a bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Dance, she has permanently relocated to San Diego to spread the joy of dancing as a dance instructor to many different ages and populations.
